Charles was brilliant and really presented our side very concisely and knowledgeably”

Client, 2023

The costs of civil litigation is a part of Charles’ practice which compliments his other areas of work, as well as being a freestanding area of interest. He regularly delivers training and has written on the subject.

Charles is sought after to advise and represent clients at all stages of litigation in connection with costs matters. He is the author of ‘A Practical Guide to Non-party Costs Orders’ (2021, Law Brief Publishing) and takes a particular interest in costs and case management conferences, the court’s wasted costs jurisdiction and hearings arising under CPR 46.2(1)(b).
