The claimant contracted with a commercial dental organisation for private dental treatment. A treatment plan was agreed with the first defendant but then she was treated by the second defendant who she had not previously met. Identification of the correct defendant proved awkward and a decision was made to sue the apparent owner of the organisation and all treating practitioners which tactical decision promoted settlement.
