The Bar Musical Society will be presenting a concert performance of Purcell’s only true opera, with Emma Kirkby singing the role of Dido, Queen of Carthage in this tragic tale of her love for the Trojan hero Aeneas. This performance will take place in Middle Temple Hall on Monday, 1st July.
The soloists will be accompanied by the Bar Musical Society orchestra with a chorus (the St Genesius Choir) of courtiers, witches, cupids and sailors. Our very own Julia Belyavin will be playing the violin in this performance.
