The Legal Training Consultancy, in association with St John’s Chambers have organised a half-day online conference, based on Alex Troup’s “Practical Guide to the Law of Statutory Wills” book. Alex will be joined by members of our Wills & Trusts team to explore the important issues and complexities in more detail. The conference will be chaired by Cara Hough, of IDR Law.
The conference will deal with 7 of the most important topics in statutory wills, ranging from how to make an urgent application for a statutory will in a medical emergency, through to negotiating a compromise of a statutory will application out of court, and the ever important issue of costs.
The event will be streamed live, direct to your desktop, tablet or phone, wherever you are. You can participate in the conference live or watch the recorded version whenever or wherever you want. Whichever you choose, you will receive a recording of the complete conference after the event.
Topics include:
- Is P an adult who lacks testamentary capacity? John Dickinson, Barrister
- Would it be in P’s best interested for a statutory will to be authorised and, if so, on what terms? Daniel Soar, Barrister
