On Wednesday 1st June, our Family & Divorce barrister Jack Harris will be flying out to Dublin to join The Recorder of Bristol His Honour Judge Blair Q.C. on one leg of his 8-week circumnavigation of mainland UK. Jack will be joining him as crew on the Dublin to Troon leg of his journey.
His Honour Judge Blair Q.C. is sailing a 44ft Swan from the Isle-of-Wight up The Irish Sea to the Outer Hebrides and back again, visiting all five of the nations of the British Isles.
The trip is in aid of Bath & North East Somerset Friends of Young Carers, of which he is Chair. By raising funds for Young Carers, they can provide more treats, activities and grants for 7-17 year olds who have significant caring responsibilities for a parent or sibling.
So far, he’s raised a very admirable £5,510 and has only just begun his journey!
