With only one week to go before our pupils (Georgina Thompson, Rhodri Jones and David Forster) are able to start utilising their advocacy skills, their diaries are already starting to fill with new bookings.

Rhodri Jones is undertaking a pupillage within our Clinical Negligence team under the supervision of Vanessa McKinlay, and will be accepting instructions in personal injury as well as clinical negligence cases. Rhodri worked as a doctor for many years in Accident & Emergency and Primary Care in London, Manchester and Australia before coming to the bar. Read more here.

Georgina Thompson is undertaking a pupillage within our Commercial & Chancery teams. Whilst undertaking her LLM at UCL, Georgina worked as a Research Assistant to her dissertation supervisor focusing on commercial and maritime law. During the BPTC year she was employed as a tutor to LLB and LLM students; tutoring in areas such as contract, commercial, shipping and arbitration law. She is currently shadowing John Dickinson as his pupil, experiencing a wide range of chancery matters, having already spent 4 months with Alex Troup. David Forster is a pupil within the Personal Injury team under the supervision of Matthew White. Having spent two years volunteering at the Avon and Bristol Law Centre as part of the Legal Advocacy Support Project whilst representing appellants in disability benefit appeals, he has already gained first-hand experience within the legal sector. Before his time at the Centre he worked within an ethical financial services company known as the Bristol Credit Union. Read more here.
