In her children law practice, Chelsea appears across all stages of proceedings – from FHDRA or CMH through to final hearings. Chelsea represents parents, children (through their Guardians) and local authorities. She has acted in both public and private law children cases where allegations of neglect, domestic abuse, sexual abuse, mental health issues, and drug/alcohol abuse have been made.
In divorce & financial remedies, Chelsea has a growing practice and appears for applicants and respondents at all stages of the financial remedies process. Alongside her practice in this area, Chelsea has given a seminar on Schedule 1 proceedings to local solicitors and has appeared on the St John’s Family Law Podcast channel to discuss domestic abuse as conduct in financial remedy matters. Chelsea is meticulous and approaches cases with a high attention to detail, however, she also brings compassion and sensitivity to her clients.
Prior to joining St John’s, Chelsea studied law at the University of Bristol and went straight on to study the BTC at BPP University. Whilst studying the BTC, Chelsea undertook pro bono work at the Legal Advice Clinic (specialising in family law), the Litigant in Person Tribunal Service, and the StreetLaw Project which explained housing law/rights to schools and colleges. Subsequently, she worked as a legal advisor for Legal Expenses Insurance policyholders. In this role she advised clients as to their legal rights and responsibilities and how they may resolve their dispute without progressing to legal proceedings. Chelsea became Technical Lead of the team within a year of her time in the role.

Additional information:
Chelsea is a keen sportswoman and regularly plays women’s rugby and touch rugby. She also likes yoga. She is involved with girl guiding, and is a leader for her local brownies. Chelsea is passionate about getting involved in the community and helps to run Bristol Girl which focuses on bringing likeminded women together for a wealth of activities, talks and clubs.
