Jacqueline has detailed knowledge of this specialist jurisdiction, having obtained her LLM in Canon Law from Cardiff University in 2001 and having served on the Legal Advisory Commission of the Church of England, the General Synod of the Church of England, and various legal Committees of General Synod including the Legislative Committee.

She accepts instructions to represent petitioners and parties opponent in Faculty Applications before Consistory Courts and/or the Court of Arches, except those arising in the Dioceses of Worcester and Norwich where she sits as the Chancellor. She has a wealth of experience in dealing with retrospective faculties, re-orderings, exhumations, monuments and issues arising under the Church Buildings Council’s Net Zero guidance.

She is also experienced in other aspects of Ecclesiastical Law including proceedings under the Incumbents (Vacation of Benefices) Measure 1977 and Appeals by Lay Ministers to the Archbishop against the revocation of licence under Canon E6.
