Recent instructions include:

  • Advising on contractual goods and services disputes in relation to a range of subject matters such as a houseboat, a historic wooden yacht, vintage vehicles and various types of construction work.
  • Providing urgent advice on an injunction in respect of an agricultural partnership dispute.
  • Successfully resisted an application for an order for delivery up of a solicitors file which was heard in the High Court, Senior Courts Costs Office.
  • Successfully resisted an application to have a claim form marked as received by the court on a particular date for the purposes of limitation on the ground that the court did not have jurisdiction to determine it as the Applicants’ intended claim has not been issued pursuant to CPR 7.2 or ‘brought’ for the purposes of the Limitation Act 1980.
  • Currently instructed as part of a team of independent Counsel on a disclosure project in respect of a civil fraud claim which involves document review for the purposes of relevance, confidentiality and privilege.
  • Advising on a bailment dispute raising issues of attornment.

    Kayleigh is originally from South Wales. She enjoys anything historical but has special interests in military / naval history, maritime history generally and marine archaeology. Kayleigh is an advocate for social mobility, having come to the Bar from a non-traditional background herself. She is always keen to become involved in any activity, event or initiative designed to encourage those from non-traditional backgrounds to enter higher education and professions that have social barriers.
