Who Should Attend?
St John’s Chambers and RWK Goodman are delighted to invite you to their annual contentious probate update seminar held in association with Stone King.
The seminar aims to bring practitioners up to speed with all the latest developments in the world of contentious probate. It is principally targeted at solicitors who are (or would like to be) involved in contentious probate work, but it would also be of interest to non-contentious lawyers, Will writing firms and professional executors.
Topics include:
- Applications under the Variation of Trusts Act 1958 – a practical guide in light of Harvey v Van Hoorn [2023] EWHC 1298 (Ch)
Alex Troup KC, Head of Wills & Trusts, St John’s Chambers - Law Commission supplementary consultation paper on wills
Amanda Noyce, Partner, RWK Goodman and Mike Muston, Partner, RWK Goodman - The requirements for the formal and essential validity of wills in different jurisdictions and other points of interest for practitioners when dealing with cross-border estates
Luke Watson, Partner, Stone King - Costs in contentious trust and estate claims
Kayleigh Bloomfield, Barrister, St John’s Chambers - Undue influence
Christopher Jones, Barrister, St John’s Chambers
There will be an opportunity at the end of the seminar for questions and answers as well as a chance to catch up with the speakers for drinks and nibbles.
