Richard Stead speaks at the St John’s Chambers’ Insurance Act 2015 seminar. The Insurance Act 2015 comes into force on 12 August 2016 and brings radical changes to the law in relation to non-disclosure and the remedies available to insurers in non-consumer contracts of insurance. Richard provides an update on the scheme of the Act, duties of disclosure under the 2015 Act, consumer insurance contracts under the Consumer Insurance (Disclosure and Representations) Act 2012, and remedies available to insurers in both consumer and non-consumer insurance contracts.
